The most convincing performance of the small Swiss delegation on the opening day of the 6th Worldcup of the year showed once more Flavio Marazzi/Enrico De Maria SUI in the Starboat by finishing 3rd in the only race of the day. In spite of the light winds the young 470 team Yannick Brauchli/Romuald Hausser SUI posted two race results in the top half of their fleet and are 20st. Windsurfer Richard Stauffacher SUI started the series with a strong 7th, in the second race of the day he fall back on 19th overall. In the top half of the rankings we find both Swiss Lasers as well: Guillaume Girod SUI is on 45th, Christoph Bottoni SUI follows on 49th. A difficult start had both of the Laser Radials: Manon Luther SUI is on 39, Nathalie Brugger SUI on a disappointing 56th. The weather forecast announces stronger winds for the rest of the week, especially Nathalie Brugger SUI will be happy about that. All results and the daily report.
