Laser - Olympic Worldcup 2012 - Weymouth GBR - Day 2

Wet-cold English weather prevailed on day two of the Weymouth ISAF Worldcup event on the Olympic waters of next August. The refreshening breeze allowed to complete two races by Laser class according to program. The Australians dominated the Lasers Standard with Tom Burton AUS - with only top-three finishes up-to-now - as first, four points ahead of the World Champion Tom Slingsby AUS. Philipp Buhl GER 3rd is already 14 points behind.
The favorites in the Laser Radials have now taken the top positions with Evi Van Acker BEL leading two points ahead of Lijia Xu CHN, winner of both heats of her group yesterday. Sari Multala FIN is only one point further behind and Gintare Scheidt LTU and Marit Bouwmeester NED are not far away either.
