Kite-Surfing - Freestyle, Course Race & Slalom Worldcup - Sylt GER

Last Tuesday was day one of the second Kitesurf-Worldcup 2012, organised on Sylt, at the same time the Slalom-Kite-World Championship. Favorable typical Sylt conditions prevailed on day one for the first Single-Elimination of the Freestylers. Wednesday and Thursday remained without wind. Winner of the first Freestyle round was Mario Rodewald GER in the men's class and Annelous Lammert NED in the women's class. The report and the video of day one. As from today, good conditions with a 15-25 kn breeze are expected, and all three disciplines are on the program. 85 kiters from 15 nations participate. Results from day one are not yet on the event-website.
