ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship 2012 - Dublin IRL - Day 2

Monday, July 16, 2012
Even more gusty and shifty was the breeze on day two of the ISAF Youth Worlds making sailing pretty difficult. Pitouelle/Sipan FRA perfectly coped with this situation and have already an 11 points’ lead in the 420er-Boys ahead of Goedhart/Van Stekelenborg NED 2nd and Charles/Charles ESP 3rd. Superior leaders in the 420er-Girls are Annabel Vose/Kirstie Urwin GBR, finishing 1/2/3 yesterday in front of Smith/Clark AUS and Paternoster/Disalle ITA at equal points. In the 29ers, Robles/Trittel ESP keep the first place, but Rual/Biton FRA are adamant chasers. Wilson/Wilson USA follow on rank 3. In the SL-16-catamarans, White/Copeland GBR are now the single leaders ahead of Darmanin/Copeland AUS and Demesmaeker/Hendrickx BEL. In the fleet of the Lasers Radial Boys, Mitchell Kiss USA and Marco Zani ITA are tied on top, with Mark Spearman AUS on rank 3. Line Höst NOR defended her lead in the Lasers Radial Girls ahead of Pinar Kaynar TUR and Agata Barwinska POL. Outstanding the performance of Saskia Sills GBR in the RS:X-Girls, where her lead on Veronica Fanciulli ITA is now 8 points. Anastasya Valkevich BLR is the new third. The defending champion Wonwood Cho KOR leads in the RS:X-Boys with one point on Mattia Camboni ITA. Kieran Martin GBR follows as 3rd. All results, the daily report and the video of the day.
