470, Finn, Laser Standard & Radial, 420 - Christmas Race - Palamos ESP - Final results

The wind for additional races was missing on the last day of the Palamos Christmas Race 2018.
After 6 races, Matteo Capurro/Matteo Puppo ITA were the clear winners in the 470 men ahead of Demange/Lepoutre FRA and Costa/Costa POR. The best women's team Luise and Helena Wanser GER finished on rank 14.
In the Finns, Milan Vujasinovic CRO was the winner ahead of Alejandro Muscat ESP and Joan Cardona ESP.
A GBR trio is on top of the Lasers Standard with Joseph Mullon GBR, Jordan Giles GBR and Ben Flowers GBR. In the men's Radials, Pirmin Sablatnig AUT is on the first place. The Radial women's victory went to Elena Vorobeva CRO.
In the largest fleet, the 420s, Sophie Steinlein/Jonas Royla GER finished first closely followed by Sposato/Centrone ITA one point behind and Sepe/Citillo ITA.

The wind for additional races was missing on the last day of the Palamos Christmas Race 2018.
After 6 races, Matteo Capurro/Matteo Puppo ITA were the clear winners in the 470 men ahead of Demange/Lepoutre FRA and Costa/Costa POR. Nick Zeltner/Till Seger SUI followed on the 17th place. The best women's team Luise and Helena Wanser GER finished on rank 14.
In the Finns, Milan Vujasinovic CRO was the winner ahead of Alejandro Muscat ESP and Joan Cardona ESP.
A GBR trio is on top of the Lasers Standard with Joseph Mullon GBR, Jordan Giles GBR and Ben Flowers GBR. In the men's Radials, Pirmin Sablatnig AUT is on the first place. Martin Verhulst SUI and Alessandro Maisano SUI followed on the ranks 14 and 15. The Radial women's victory went to Elena Vorobeva CRO. Rosine Baudet SUI followed on the 26th place.
In the largest fleet, the 420s, Sophie Steinlein/Jonas Royla GER finished first closely followed by Sposato/Centrone ITA one point behind and Sepe/Citillo ITA. The two Swiss junior teams followed on the ranks 75 (Anna and Paula Wollkopf SUI) and 85 (Nicolle and Jasmin Scholer SUI).

 470, Finn, Laser Radial & Standard, 420 - Christmas Race - Palamos ESP - Windy Day 3 After the windless Thursday, strong winds between 15 and 20 kn and big waves dominated the 3rd day of the Christmas Race. In the 3 races of the day, the fleets were decimated by capsizes and retirements.
In the 470 men, Matteo Capurro/Matteo Puppo ITA won all 3 races and took over the lead. Delange/Lepoutre FRA followed on 2nd. In the Finns Milan Vujasinovic CRO climbed on top of the rankings, Alejandro Muscat ESP and Joan Cardona ESP are completing the podium ranks. In the Laser Radial Men, Pirmin Sablatnig AUT is the new leder. In the Radial Women, Elena Vorobeva CRO moved up to first. In the Laser Standard the Brits are dominating: Joseph Mullan GBR, Jordan Giles GBR and Ben Flower GBR are occupying the first three places. The 420 ended their qualifications for the Gold- and Silverfleet. Sophie Steinlein/Jonas Royla GER are leading by just on point on Sposato/Centrone ITA and Sepe/Cirillo ITA, both on equal points.

 470, Finn, Laser Radial & Standard, 420 - Christmas Race - Palamos ESP - Day 2, the Swiss After the busy opening day, the scene was almost windless at the Costa Brava yesterday with the fleet staying ashore.
The leaderboards after the windy first day have mainly the big-breeze specialists in front. The Swiss development and junior teams had their difficulties in the rough sea conditions.

Pavel Sozykin/Denis Gribanov RUS took the lead in the 470s ahead of Matteo Capurro/Matteo Puppo ITA. Alexandre Demange/Paco Lepoutre FRA followed on rank 3. Luise and Helena Wanser GER on the 14th place are the best women's team.
In the Finns, Juan Cardona ESP has taken the lead. Milan Vujasinovic CRO and Alejandro Muscat ESP are the first challengers.

More wind than expected (up to 16kn) prevailed yesterday during the first races of the Palamos Christmas Race 2018. All classes completed 3 races each.
Pavel Sozykin/Denis Gribanov RUS took the lead in the 470s ahead of Matteo Capurro/Matteo Puppo ITA. Alexandre Demange/Paco Lepoutre FRA followed on rank 3. Luise and Helena Wanser GER on the 14th place are the best women's team. Nick Zeltner/Till Seger SUI followed on rank 23.
In the Finns, Juan Cardona ESP has taken the lead. Milan Vujasinovic CRO and Alejandro Muscat ESP are the first challengers.

Important delegations come obvioulsy from Spain, but also France and England. . With 99 teams, the 420s are the largest fleet racing split in two groups. Light to moderate winds have been forecast, except Friday, when fresh winds of up to 18kn shall fill in.
