After the Skiffs, the Nacra 17 catamaran and the windsurfers on Saturday, it was the 470s', the Finns' and the Lasers' turn to sail the Medal Races. The winners and the best OZ teams by class have already now qualified for the Worldcup Final in Abu Dhabi in December 2015.
Alexander Conway/Patrick Conway AUS won in the 470 men, Sasha Ryan/Amelia Catt AUS were first in the 'matchrace' of the only two 470 women, Ed Wright GBR made it in the Finns with a clear advange over Oliver Twedell AUS and Jake Lilley AUS. Tom Burton AUS had a 22 points' lead on the end of the day in the Lasers Standard over Matthew Wearn AUS and Mike Bullot NZL. Almost as dominant was Alison Young GBR 16 points in front in the Lasers Radial ahead of Tatiana Droszdowskaya BLR with just on point on Line Flem-Höst DEN remaining on 3rd.
The Paralympics participated in this Worldcup act with the 2.4 m and the Skuds. Matthew Bugg AUS won in the 2.4m, while Daniel Fitzgibbon/Liesl Tesch AUS were first in 9 of the 10 races in the Skuds 18.
