Yesterday, the seabreeze filled in with delay but finally, all classes sailed their first Final Races in a 10-12 kn wind.
In the 470 men, Matthew Belcher/Will Ryan AUS added two more bullets on their result sheet and have now a 14 points' advance on McNay/Hughes USA. New on rank 3, only one point behind, are Xammar/Herp ESP followed by Dahlberg/Bergström SWE at equal points. New on top of the 470 women are Fernanda Oliveira/Ana Barbachan BRA. Kyranakou/Van Veen NED are 2nd and Haeger/Provancha USA - best of the day with the ranks 1 and 2 - are 3rd tied with Ai Kondo/Yoshioka JPN.
Diego Botin/Iago Lopez ESP won the only 49er race yesterday and extended slightly their lead. Delle-Karth/ Resch AUT and Heil/Plössel GER are the first persuers. No change on top of the 49ersFX with Annemiek Bekkering/Annette Duetz NED as first ahead of Maj-Hansen/Salskov DEN and new on 3rd Ainsworth/Dobson GBR as Grael/Kunze BRA did not compete yesterday.
Josh Junior NZL defended his first place in the Finns, but Giles Scott GBR finishing twice on second as day's best came back after the disaster Tuesday and reduced the deficit on 4 points. Smashing domination by Billy Besson/Marie Riou FRA in the Nacra-17 who have now a 33 points' advantage on Bissarro/Secouri ITA on rank 2. Zajac/Frank AUT follow on the 3rd place.
Tom Squires GBR in the RS:X men and Olga Maslivets RUS in the RS:X women stay on top of the windsurfers.
