World Sailing - Annual Conference 2016 - Barcelona ESP - Day 4

The deliberations in the various Committees continued yesterday at the WS Annual Conference in Barcelona. The main interest however is on the President's election at the General Assembly next Saturday. Never before, a President in charge has been voted out, but the dissatisfaction with President Carlo Croce ITA is more than evident. Paul Henderson CAN, ISAF President 1994 till 2004, will most probably not have a chance because of his age (81), and despite of the fact, that his clear and meaningful proposals to bring World Sailing down to the roots again are more than appropriate. Kim Anderson DEN - here an interview - has a fair chance to succeed Croce.
