World Sailing - Annual Conference 2016 - Barcelona ESP - Day 7

The World Sailing Annual Conference was concluded yesterday with the Council deciding on the many submissions presented by the various Committees. Today, Sunday, the World Sailing Officers for the next four years, President and seven Vice-Presidents, will be elected by the Delegates of all Member National Authorities at the General Assembly.
To be mentioned about the decision taken is the new race format for 49ers and the Nacra-17 (to be equipped with foils) where the Finals of their regattas will be sailed in a number of (stadium type) short races. New recognised International Classes with the right to sail World Championships are the Viper 640 and the IOD (International One Design) based on their activities. We shall present an overview on the major decision in the coming days.
