The RS:X Youth World Championship began yesterday on Cyprus with sun and a 16-18 kn breeze. Both fleets completed three races each, with the 72 Boys' fleet from 16 nations split in two groups. The defending Champion Yoav Omer ISR and Mack Van den Eerenbeemt NED (Aruba) won both all three races of their groups. In the Girls' fleet (24 drivers from 11 nations). the defending Champion Noy Drihan ISR is on top with the ranks 2/1/1, Maya Morris ISR and Katy Spychatov ISR follow on the ranks 2 and 3.
