Yesterday the first four races were sailed in the ice-sailing World Championships on a lake in western Poland. The lake only just froze over during the recent cold snap and thus offers the best possible ‘black ice’ conditions.
Favorite Karol Jablonski POL is the first overall leader with the ranks 2/1/1/3. Jarek Radzek POL in second place is already 25 points behind. With a regular series Jean-Claude Vuithier follows SUI as the best Swiss in 16th, Philipp Dürr SUI as 39th and Ueli Marti SUI as 45th are also in the Gold Fleet included. Competing are a total of 154 participants from 16 nations, including 9 Swiss.
Lucie Vuithier SUI (the daughter of JC Vuithier) who is competing for the first time and who is among only a few women is currently ranked 36th in the Bronze Fleet. Bronze-Fleet. All Leaderboards and the Event Facebook Page.
