Nacra-15, Kiteboarding, Techno293-Windsurfer - Youth Olympics - San Isidro ARG - Day 5 - Gold for ITA and GRE

The Youth Olympic Regatta 2018 in San Isidro ARG was concluded yesterday. The entire Techno-293-Windsurfer fleet sailed a Medal race while the Nacra-15 catamarans completed three fleetraces. The Kiteboarders could not sail due to a too light wind.
The Youth Olympic Champions in the Techno-293 windsurfers are - as expected - Alexandros Kalpogiannakis GRE and Giorgia Speciale ITA. The Boys' podium has been completed with Nicolo Renna ITA and Finn Hawkins GBR. Manon Pianazza FRA and Yana Reznikova RUS grasped Silver and Bronze in the Girls.
The Nacra-15-catamarans finished the qualifications with three heats and are ready for today's Medal Race. Dante Cittadini/Teresa Romairone ARG extended their lead on 10 points and are on the safe side for the title. The fights for the remaining Medals will be among. Laila Van der Meer/Bjarne Bouwer NED and Henri Demesmaeker/Frederique Van Eupen BEL tied for the moment on the ranks 2 and 3. With a backlog of only 2 points, Titouan Petard/Claire Coutard FRA have a fair chance to climb on the podium in the final Medal Race as well.
