World Sailing Annual Conference Comments re the contested selection of Olympic events
In the sailing media and among most Olympic classes sailors, the decisions regarding the Olympic events 2024, taken in early November at the World Sailing Annual Meeting, are much critisised. For the first time ever, non-existing disciplines on unknown boats have been chosen !
Clear words come from the past-ISAF President Paul Henderson CAN in his comment (PDF) and also from the President of the Italian Sailing Federation Francesco Ettore ITA in his communiqué. A explicit critic regarding the eliminated Finn Class written by the former Olympian Laura Baldwin GBR was published in Sail World.
