Two more races were sailed yesterday at the Laser World Masters in the Netherlands in a 10kn wind, and in a number of class categories, preliminary decisions have been made before the final races of today. ----- In the Lasers Standard, Wolfgang Gerz GER has a 12 point lead in the Great Grand Masters (65-75) and also Carlos Martinez ESP with a 23 point advantage in the Grand Mastern (55-65) can hardly be removed from the top. Even 33 points is the advance of Serge Kats NED in the Standard Masters (45-55). Patrick Fleischhacker SUI progressed on rank 17, Robert Ronnback SUI follows just behind on rank 18. Only in the Standard Apprentices (35-45), the outcome is open as the first three - Van Vianen NED, West ESP and Scott NZL - are separated by 2 points only. ----- In the Lasers Radial, Scott Leigh NZL in the Masters (45-55), Jeff Loosemore AUS in the Great Grand Masters (65-75) and Jon Emmett GBR in the Apprentices (35-45) are on y solid course towards the title. In the Grand Masters (55-65), Gilles Coadou FRA and 5 points behind Kim Tan NED will duel for the title today. Close is the situation also in the Legends (75+) with Kerry Waraker AUS, Johan Van Rossem CAN and Kevin Philipps AUS within 3 points only. ----- The daily news with links to the ranking lists.
