With 2700 miles left to the finish, the race remains exciting with the leading group continuing to sail closely together in the northerly trade winds. The two leaders Charlie Dalin FRA (Apivia) and Louis Burton FRA (Bureau Vallée 2) 96 miles behind chose a more westerly course while Damien Seguin FRA (Groupe Apicil) sailing in 3rd place and the other chasers stayed as high on the wind as possible and thus chose the more direct route.
