IMOCA Open 60 Vendee Globe Day 74
The leader Charlie Dalin FRA (Apivia) still has 2200 miles to go until the finish in Les Sables d'Olonne. The leading group will reach a last flat transition zone today, which will probably be decisive for the race: Whoever of the leading group, which is still sailing close together, reaches the fresh westerly winds first, has a good chance of winning. 98 miles behind Dalin, Boris Herrmann GER (SeaExplorer) has moved up to second place. Thomas Ruyant FRA (LinkedOut) follows in 3rd place, 108 miles behind. Damien Seguin FRA (Groupe Apicil, Non-Foiler) has moved up to 5th place. He will be benefiting from good easterly wind conditions today. Alan Roura SUI (La Fabrique) in 16th position was able to close the gap to Arnaud Boissières FRA (La Mie Câline) sailing in front of him to 17 miles. The race tracker and the reports.
