The Qualifications for the last Asian and African Tokyo Olympic Nations berths were concluded yesterday with the Medal Races. ----- The 4th place of Ganapathy Kelapanda Chengappa/Varun Ashok Thakkar IND was good enough to qualify for the Games in the 49ers. Benjamin Talbot Daniel/Alex Burger RSA secured their ticket to Africa with 6th place overall. ----- In the 49ersFX, China (Chen Shasha/Ye Jin) and Tunisia earned the slots for Asia and Africa. ----- Details in the 49er-classes-report. ----- India qualified also in the Lasers Radial, although Nethra Kumanan IND dropped to 2nd after the Medal Race, as the winner Emma Savelon NED sailed as the only European out of competition.
