Olympic Classes - Trofeo Princesa Sofia - Palma ESP - Day 5 - the Swiss

Finishing 11th yesterday, the Swiss 470 men's team Yannick Brauchli/Romuald Hausser SUI fulfilled the Swiss Olympic selecton criterium and is qualified for Rio. Maud Jayet SUI in the Lasers Radial missed this objective by a small margin only as - with her 16th rank, she was just 6 points off the last Rio Nations' berth ! The only Swiss participant in today's Medal Races will be Nathalie Brugger SUI with her substitute helmsman Joao Siemsen BRA on the 10th place in the Nacra17. Linda Fahrni/Maja Siegenthaler SUI finished the Trofeo on the 16th place in the 470 women. Mateo Sanz-Lanz SUI, already selected for Rio, advance on rank 15 thanks to a 2nd race rank. Elia Colombo SUI finished 5th in the Silverfleet (= 48th overall). The best Swiss Laser sailor was Guillaume Girod SUI as 57th, Nils Theuninck SUI followed on rank 64 among the 150 participants. Ranks 1 and 5 were the final places of Sébastien Schneiter/Lucien Cujean SUI in the 49er Silverfleet, and they finished as 27th among the 73 teams).
