No wind on the first day of the New York America's Cup World Series Act. However, the event had a tremendous reception with roughly 75'000 spectators along the Hudson River. At the end of the day outside of the planned race window, a 'Substitute Race' has been sailed, counting for the overall rankings only, if no races can be completed on today Sunday. Dean Barker NZL with his 'Team Japan' claimed his first ACC-45 race wind.
The outlook for today wind-wise is perfect with an up to 20 kn breeze and much action is guaranteed. The report.
