Racing at the YES on Kiel Bay was disturbed yesterday by a passing thunderstorm front with wind peaks of 8 bft. However, every class completed one race in the morning in sunshine and a 4 bft breeze, before the storm filled in chasing the fleets back to shore.
In the 420 German Nationals, the Lake Constance team Konstantin Steidle/Tom Lembcke GER defended the first place but winning the day's only race, Philipp and Jonas Royla GER reduced the backlog on one point. Inga-Marie Hofmann/Henrike Leitl GER on rank 3 remain the best girls' team. A race win booked also Maxime Bachelin/Arno de Planta SUI, moving up on rank 4. Nick Zeltner/Till Seger SUI are now 10th and Morgan Lauber/Léo Tétaz SUI complement the good Swiss result with the 12th place.
In the 470s, Frederike Loewe/Anna Markfort GER remain on top. In the 5o5s. Wolfgang Hunger/Holger Jess GER continue their winning streak. First in the 29ers are Gwendal Lamay/Luke Willim GER just one point ahead of Jens-Philipp Dehn/Christoffer Langballe DEN.
