IRC - Giraglia Race - St. Tropez FRA - Day 1, the Swiss

Yesterday, 221 teams started in St-Tropez FRA to the classic Giraglia Race over 261 miles to Genoa ITA. The fleet advanced only slowly in the light winds, and the leading 140-foot Wally 'Magic Carpet' was only just ahead of the Giraglia rock on the most northern point of Corsica FRA with 90 miles to sail to the finish. The best of the 7 Swiss teams participating, Jean-Jacques Chaubard SUI with his TP52, followed on rank 12.
