Olympic Classes Trofeo Princesa Sofia Palma de Mallorca ESP Day 1 Die Schweizer
Diversing was the luck of the Swiss athletes on the first race day of the Trofeo Princesa Sofia on Palma Bay with a 12-15 kn varying wind from the shore.
Both 470 teams delivered good results. Linda Fahrni/Maja Siegenhaler SUI are on rank 5 in the 470 women not far behind the top. Kilian Wagen/Joan Herp SUI/ESP finished on the ranks 5 and 8 in their group (fleet split in 3 groups) and are on the 11th interim's place. Sébastien Schneiter/Lucien Cujean SUI started with a brilliant 1st place in the 49ers and with an 8th place (2 of 3 races in the rankings), they are on rank 7 for the moment. Remarkable was also Nils Theuninck SUI on the 27th position in his first start in an important regatta of this very competitive class. Maud Jayet SUI, day ranks 9 and 19 in her Laser Radial group is on rank 27, certainly not where she wanted to be, and more can be expected. A flop was day one for Mateo Sanz-Lanz SUI in the RS:X men windsurfers, where he holds the 39th position.
