Round one of the GP Guyaders took place in Douarnenez FRA over the past weekend.
Most prominent was the Diam-24 trimaran fleet with 31 teams from 4 nations. One month before the start of the Tour-de-France à l Voile, the GP was a perfect tune-up race for the Tour participants. Winning 3 of the 5 races, 'Team Lorima - Morbihan' with Quentin Delapierre FRA finished first one point ahead of Valentin Bellet FRA. 'Oman Sail' with Thierry Douillard FRA (and the former 49er World Champion Stevie Morrison GBR) followed on rank 3. The best of the three Swiss Diam-24 was Bernard Stamm SUI on the 8th place. Guillaume Girod SUI and Nelson Mettraux SUI on the two CER trimarans finished on the rank 25 and 26. The ranking list.
Yesterday, the Dragons held their first two races, and Dimitry Samokhin RUS leads ahead of Paul Hoj-Jensen GBR and Gery Trentesaux FRA. The Dragon ranking list.
