Laser Radial - Men's & Women's World Championship 2017 - Medemblik NED - Day 1, the Swiss

Light winds prevailed yesterday in Medemblik during the first two races of the Laser Radial World Championship.
Kim Pletikos SLO, one of the best in the Youth Worlds last week sailed in similar conditions, has taken the lead in the Olympic Women's fleet with the day ranks 2 and 3, ahead of Evi Van Acker BEL and Svenja Weger GER. Maud Jayet SUI, ranks 5 and 42, is on the 41st rank overall. Some of the favorites had real troubles with the light winds, such as the Olympic Champion Marit Bouwmeester NED on the 60th place overall with the day ranks 23 and 29.
