The typhoon off the Japan coast provided again for fresh winds around 20 kn yesterday with the Medal Races and sail-off regattas on the program.
Silvia Mas/Paula Barcela ESP had defended their 470 Junior Worlds title prematurely before the last race. Finishing third in the last heat, Nia Jerwood/Monique De Vries AUS advanced on the 2nd place overall. Bronze went to Ilaria Paternoster/Bianca Caruso ITA.
Hippolyte Machetti/Sidoine Dantes FRA consolidated their big advance with a 3rd position in the Medal Race and won their first 470 title. Guillaume Pirouelle/Valentin Sipan FRA won the Medal Race and grasped Silver with a 13 points' deficit on the Champions. Bronze went to Daichi Takayama/Naoya Kimura JPN.
