Laser Radial & Standard - European Championship 2017 - Barcelona ESP - Final results, the Swiss

Two race could be held on the last day of the Laser European Championship in Barcelona in a moderate seabreeze.
Considering the small points' gaps, racing was very close in the Lasers Standard. The only one of the contenders for Medals to finish twice in the top-10 was the experienced Nick Thompson GBR winning the title after a non-spectacular week. Silver went to Francesco Marrai ITA, Andrew McKenzie NZL finished on 3rd. The World Champion Pavlos Kontides CYP as 4th was the 3rd-best European receiving the Bronze Medal. Eliot Merceron SUI lost some ranks and finished as 30th. Arthur Baudet SUI, sailing in the Silverfleet, terminated his first international Laser Standard Championship on the 103rd place, Cyrill Knecht SUI followed as 112th among the 125 participants.
As expected, the winner in the Laser Radial Women was the Olympic Champion Marit Bouwmeester NED, followed by Anne-Marie Rindom DEN and Vasileia Karachaliou GRE. Maud Jayet SUI advanced on rank 14 on the final day.
With another two race wins on the final day, Marcin Rudawski POL made everything clear in the Radial Men. The second-ranked Marcelo Cairo ESP, first in the U21 rankings, was 15 pts behind. Dimitris Papadimitriou GRE earned the Bronze Medal. Grégoire Peverelli SUI on the remarkable 7th place mist the U21 Bronze Medal by one point only ! Gauthier Verhulst SUI and Nicolas Rolaz SUI followed on the ranks 21 and 24, Jacopo Scornaienghi SUI on the 38th rank among the 103 participants.
