After a frustrating two days in which racing was limited due to the poor wind conditions, day five of racing at the Techno293 World Championships with winds of up to 25 kn was completely different and allowed a different set of sailors to take advantage of the changed conditions. Each fleet was able to complete three races.
In the Junior Girls, Ella Benbenisti ISR top of the leader board 11 pts ahead of Mak Cheuk-Wing HKG 19 pts of Sharon Kantor ISR.
In the Junior Boys, Daniel Basik-Tashtash is first with a 19.5 pts lead on Jules Chantrel FRA 2nd and Gaspard Carfantan FRA 3rd.
In the Youth Girls, Linoy Geva ISR and Maya Askkenzi ISR are joint top after a successful three races 13 pts ahead of Enora Tanne FRA.
The Youth Boys are even more dominated by Israeli drivers occupying ranks 1 to 4. Eyal Zror is first ahead of Amit Gan 2nd, Vardimon Tomer 3rd and Roi Hillel 4th.
Today is the final day of racing and all eyes will be on the weather. Will it benefit those who prefer strong winds or will it be another day for the light wind specialists?
