The splitted fleet is about to possibly avoid the strong frontal system with heavy winds with now four boats heading South squeezed between the depression and the iceberg exclusion zone, and three boats on a northern route to avoid the rough conditions. 'Dongfeng' with Charles Caudrelier FRA gybed even more South during the night as did the leading 'Mapfre' with Xabi Fernandez afterwards as well to avoid the worst. Extreme in the North is Dee Caffari GBR with 'Turn the tide on plastic' (with Elodie-Jane Mettraux SUI) opting for the prudent way to deviate the front. The coming very challenging hours will be crucial for the teams' positions: Will the aggressive South or the prudent North be paying ?
