29er World Championship 2018 Hong Kong HKG Day 6
After racing was cancelled the day before yesterday due to excessive winds, the sailors were initially held onshore yesterday until the breeze moderated a little before the Gold- and Silverfleets were released onto the water for the Final Series of the 2018 29er World Championship in Hong Kong. The first race began in a north-easterly breeze of 22 knots, and when the winds steadily increased during the second race, the race committee abandoned the race whilst both fleets were in their first lap.
Francesco Kayrouz/Jackson Keon NZL winning the only race have taken the lead ahead of Calum Gregor/Jon Crawford HKG 5 points behind. Benjamin Jaffrezic/Leo Chauvel FRA on rank 3 are the best Europeans, David Eastwook/Samuel Meron USA on rank 12 and William Samuel Bonin CAN on 13th are the best North Americans.
