Yesterday, the Trofeo Princesa Sofia was concluded with the Final Series sailed under an overcast sky in the moderate 10kn breeze. In 6 of the 10 events, the final winners are known before the Medal Races of today.
Matthew Belcher/Will Ryan AUS lead in the 470 men with a 35 points advantage on Cinar/Cinar TUR. Annemiek Bekkering/Annette Duetz NED are 38 points ahead of Odile Van Anholt/Marieke Jongens NED in the 49erFX. In the Finns. the leader Giles Scott GBR is 26 points in front. Nicholas Heiner NED and Andy Maloney NZL will fight for werden Silver and Bronze today. 19 points is the lead of Matthew Wearn AUS on Sam Meech NZL in the Lasers. In the Laser Radial, Anne-Marie Rindom DEN is 23 points ahead of Alison Young GBR. And last-but-not-least the Nacra 17, where Ruggero Tita/Claudia Banti ITA are 34 points away from Saxton/Boniface GBR.
Only in the 470 women, the 49ers and the two RS:X windsurfing fleets, the final outcome will be decided in today's Medal Races.
