Figaro 3 - Solo Maître Coq - Les Sables d'Olonne FRA - Day 1

Yesterday, the Solo Maître Coq Regatta began in Les Sables d'Olonne FRA - the first solo race with these new 10 meter Figaro 3 yachts equipped with foils - with a first coastal race leading over 32nm. In light winds, the positions were overturned in a lull patch at half distance. Achille Nébout FRA coped the best with the tricky conditions and finished first ahead of Armel Le Cléac'h FRA and Benjamin Schwarz FRA. Justine Mettraux SUI followed as best woman on the 4th place among the 47 participants in the high-quality fleet with among others the Vendée Globe winners Armel Le Cleac'h FRA, Michel Desjoyeaux FRA and Alain Gautier FRA, or the Volvo Ocean winner Charles Caudrelier FRA.
