The start to the 600-mile Middlesea Race will be given in La Valetta MLT today at 10 a.m. UTC, a race leading around Sicily and the Italian Meditierranean islands Stromboli, Lampedusa and Pancellaria. ----- Among the 110 teams, the 80-foot 'Rambler' of George David USA, 8 time winner and record holder, is the most cited favorite. ----- In the IRC-2-category, Franco Niggeler SUI (with the Olympian Diego Cayolla POR) on his Cookson 50 'Kuka 3' is among the favorites.
