IMOCA Open 60 Defi Azimut Lorient FRA Day 4
Yesterday, the Solo Open 60s concluded the 500-miles round course off Lorient FRA with massive position changes caused by a calm zone 12nm before the finish line. ----- Jérémy Beyou FRA ('Charal') bypassed the stalled leader group grasping his second win this year. He is undoubtedly a top-favorite for the Vendée Globe to be started in two months from now. Beyou trailed the women trio and Samantha Davis GBR ('Initiatives Coeur') finished 2nd only 2 minutes behind. Isabelle Joschke FRA/GER ('MASCF') followed on rank 3, and Clarisse Cremer FRA with her old-design Open 60 was excellent 4th. ----- Charlie Dalin FRA ('Apivia') leading during 80% of the race had to content himself with the 8th place. ----- Alan Roura SUI ('La Fabrique') finished the race on rank 14. ----- The results, the report (in French and English) and the videos. ----- Today, a short race around the Groux island is on the program, this time with crewed Open 60s.
