The leading Multi-50 trimarans sailing now in the open sea have reached a fresh southwesterly breeze around 25 kn and their fast ride direction France did begin. Lalou Roucayrol FRA has reclaimed the first place 16 miles ahead of Gille Lamiré FRA. The leading Class 40s stretched over quite some distance left the St-Lawrance Gulf this morning after a slow passage in light winds and a strong tide current. Thibaut Vauchel-Camus FRA is now first 4 miles ahead of Diego Botin ESP and Phil Sharp GBR. Isabelle Joschke GER/FRA follows another 4 miles behind on rank 4. The two big Ultime trimarans have to deal with very light winds, and 'Spindrift II' of Yann Guichard FRA is 36 miles in front of 'Musandam - Sail Oman' of Sidney Gavignet FRA at the mouth of the St-Lawrence Gulf.
