IMOCA Open 60 Vendee Globe 2016/17 Day 33
In the South Pacific, the leading duo is being challenged by a 40 kn wind and a turbulent sea, and these conditions will probably last also tomorrow Saturday. The gap of roughly 134 nm between the leader Armel Le Cléac'h FRA and Alex Thompson GBR remained unchanged yesterday. Both have covered more than half of the Pacific crossing. At the back end of the fleet, Didac Costa ESP and Sébastien Destremau FRA will round Cape of Good Hope today, respectively tomorrow.
