Yesterday the U21 World Championships in the Olympic Laser classes started on the Polish Baltic Sea coast. Two races were sailed in both classes. Mara Stransky AUS won both races of the Laser Radials and is already 7 points ahead of Carolina Albano ITA. Third is Caroline Rosmo NOR. Laura Schewe GER is the 10th best German in the fleet of 71 participants.
Tied in first place are Berkay Abay TUR, Daniel Whitelay GBR and Ethan McAullay AUS in the large Laser Standard fleet, which is split in 2 groups. In fourth place, 2 points behind the leaders is Philipp Loewe GER on rank 4. Best of the 3 Swiss is Nicolas Rolaz SUI as 29th out of the 132 participants. All Leaderboards and the event website.
