Wine e.g. is transported between Spain, France and England.

 Zürcher Segelzentrum A.W. Niemeyer - East Wave-Boats now also in Europe ! As announced earlier, the A.W. Niemeyer Group starts now with the exclusive distribution of East Wave Optimists and 420s in Europe with the objective to provide youth sailors with reasonably priced quality dinghies, as proclamed in the company's Young Ocean-Strategy. East Wave-Boats are being built in the Ukraine and fine-tuned in Hamburg at the AWN boatyard. Sergiy Kalchenko, owner of the East Wave Boatbuilding Company, was one of the originators of the Ukranian 470 miracle around the century change and started his boat design and construction company six years ago. His youth boats Optimist and 420 are solid thanks to a very stiff hull, and well equipped with N1 Foils, Harken fittings and Liros ropes. The Optimist uses an Optiparts Blackgold-Rigg, the 420er a Selden/Proctor Zeta-Mast and a Selden/Proctor Olympus-Boom. The boats are on show at AWN in Zürich, including all equipment for Optimists and 420s.
