Laser 4.7 - Youth World Championship 2017 - Nieuwpoort BEL - Final results - the Swiss

The Laser 4.7 World Championship ended in Nieuwpoot BEL yesterday with two races sailed in a 10-15 kn wind.
In the Girls fleet, Federica Catarazzi ITA was the clear winner ahead of Giorgia Cingolani ITA, first in the U16 rankings. Bronze went to Anna Moncada ESP. Rosine Baudet SUI finished the Championship on rank 18 and as 7th U16.
In the Boys fleet, the situation became critical for the leader Yilkan Timursah TUR after a disqualification for RR 42 infringement in the first race, but with a 3rd in the final heat, he secured the Worlds title. Silver and Bronze went to Sofiane Karim FRA and Cesare Barabino ITA, at the same time U16 Champion. Félix Baudet SUI terminated the event on rank 26 among the 236 participants.
