1000 days before the opening of the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokio, the final races of the Pre-Olympic Sailing Week at Enoshima, the venue of the Olympic Regatta, are being held in perfect racing conditions with a breeze around 12-15kn. The first results have already been posted this morning UTC, and the complete ranking lists will be availble by noon.
In the 470 men, Luke Patience/Chris Grube GBR are now first. In the 470 women, Benedetta Di Salle/Alessandra Dubbini ITA remain on top 3 points ahead of Afrodite Zegers/Anneloes Van Veen NED.
In the 49er, Fletcher/Bithell GBR extended their lead on 8 points. In the 49erFX, Alexandra Maloney/Molly Meech NZL dominate with a 10 points led on Viktoria Jurczok/Anika Lorenz GER. With 5 bullets in 7 races and a 10 points lead, the Finn victory is clearly with Giles Scott GBR. Jake Lilley AUS is 2nd.
Leader change in the Lasers Standard where Thomas Saunders NZL as best of the day (ranks 1 and 2) replaced Matthew Wearn AUS on top. As 2nd, his backlog is already 19 point ! Domination also in the Lasers Radial with Erika Reineke USA now already 18 points ahead of Tatjana Droszdowskaja BLR.
In the RS:X men windsurfers, Mengfan Gao CHN is first, the best RS:X woman windsurfer is lilian De Geus NED.
