RC44 - World Championship 2018 - Cascais POR - Day 1

The RC44 World Championship 2018 began in Cascais POR yesterday in a moderate 12-18kn seabreeze. Three races were held with 'Bronenosec' of Vladimir Liubomirov RUS (tactics Cameron Dunn NZL) winning two and taking the overall lead ahead of a closely packed challenger group with 'Charisma' of Nico Poons NED 2nd (tactics Ray Davies NZL) tied with 'Team Nika' of Vladimir Prosikhin RUS on 3rd (tactics Dean Barker NZL).
