Warm temperatures and light winds prevailed on the opening day of the RC44 Cascais Cup, the final regatta of 2018 for the high performance one design monohulls and two race could be completed.
Vladimir Prosikhin RUS 'Nika' (tactics Dean Barker NZL) won the first race, Chris Bake GBR 'Team Aqua' (Cameron Appleton NZL) the second heat, taking the overall lead after day one.
