Trophée Jules Verne - Gitana - Day 14 - Abandon

After rounding Cape of Good Hope in a new record time yesterday, Franck Cammas FRA, Charles Caudrelier FRA and their team were forced to abandon their successfully started record attempt shortly afterwards. With a damaged lee rudder, Gitana did turn north direction Cape. A repair on sea is not possible. ----- The race tracker including the videos and the reports.
