29er - World Championship 2016 - Medemblik NED - Day 3, the Swiss

After two days with moderate winds, a breeze exceeding 20 kn breeze filled in yesterday and the four races concluding the Qualification Series caused some changes in the overall rankings. Tom Crockett/Harry Morton AUS defended their lead with 3 race wins and lead now with a 7 points' advantage on Crispin Beaumont/ Tom Darling GBR. New on rank 3 are Quinn Wilson/Riley Gibbs USA. Gwendal Nael/Lilian Mercier FRA descended on the 4th place. The four SUI teams will all sail in the Bronzefleet with Kaifun Shen/Thomas Lepère SUI as best on rank 174.

Laser Radial - World Championship 2016 - Dun Laoghaire IRL - Day 2, the Swiss

 Laser Radial - World Championship 2016 - Dun Laoghaire IRL - Day 2, the Swiss The fickle 5-15 kn winds from the shore persisted also on day 2 of the Laser Radial Worlds in Ireland, and again, only part of the races could be completed.
The Radial Men sailed one race and the new leader is Martin Lowy BRA ahead of the tied Ricardo Luz BRA and Nik Pletikos SLO on rank 2. Only two of the four groups in the huge Laser Radial Youth Boys finished a race. The ranking list is therefore not representative. Arthur Barrué FRA takes the lead for the moment 6 points ahead of Pantelis Kirpoglou GRE as 2nd. But down in the rankings follow the best of the non-sailing groups with Henry Marshall USA superior winner of the two races he sailed so far on rank 29. Nicolas Rolaz SUI has 3 races on his results sheet and is down on 81st overall. Grégoire Peverelli SUI is 82nd with 2 races sailed. The Radial Youth Girls returned ashore with nothing but a few starting attempts. After the only race sailed on the opening day, the leader remains Caroline Rosmo NOR followed by Alexandra Dahlberg FIN and Zoe Thomson AUS. Lucie Keller SUI is 33rd in the 68 boats' fleet.

Diam 24 - Tour de France - Act 8 - Hyères FRA, Bernard Stamm SUI

Today begins the second-last Act of the Tour-de-France 2016 in Hyères. The overall victory of the outstanding 'Lorima Limonade - Morbihan' (Quenten Delapierre/Mathieu Salomon FRA), leading since Act 1, has been undisputed for quite some time, as the youngsters clearly dominated this year's edition. Bernard Stamm SUI is midfleet on rank 12.

Various classes - Travemuende Week - Travemünde GER - Day 4, the Swiss

Very light wind conditions prevailed also on day 4 of the Travemuende Week 2016 due to the hot summer weather, and only late in the afternoon, the Finns, RS200 and RS800 sailed one race each.
The Finns terminated the Week with Uli Breuer GER as first overall having won all races. The Trias and Dyas sailed also the last heats yesterday with Mathias Strang GER and his team as overall winner in the three-person-keelboat ahead of Ricardo Fattorini SUI, and Schmohl/Ostertag GER on top of the two-person-keelboat. Brandt/Bärlocher SUI finished 6th.

Mini 650 - Les Sables-Les Acores-Les Sables - Les Sables d'Olonne FRA - Day 3, the Swiss

The leading group passed Cape Finisterre at the Northwest point of Spain yesterday afternoon. Leading in the Series Minis yesterday evening was Tanguy Bouroulec FRA 3 miles ahead of Ambrogio Beccaria ITA. Valentin Gautier SUI advanced on rank 8 with a 20 miles deficit on the first. As to expect no change in the Protos Minis where Ian Lipinski POL is a class of his own.

29er - World Championship 2016 - Medemblik NED - Day 1, the Swiss

 29er - World Championship 2016 - Medemblik NED - Day 1, the Swiss The fleet, split in six groups, sailed three races on the opening day of the 29er World Championship on the Ijsselmeer NED. Lars Postma/Quinten Bramervaer NED and Rok Verderber/Klemen Semelbauer SLO are on top at equal points. Tom Crockett/Harry Morton AUS, Gwendal Nael/Liliane Mercier FRA and Ingmar Vieregge/Henrik Vieregge GER follow on the 3rd place with the same number of points. The best of the four Swiss teams, Kaifun Shen/ Thomas Lepère SUI, are 142nd among the 228 teams. The results and the event website.

 The Laser Radial World Championship began yesterday in Ireland with separate fleets for Men, Women and Youth.
The first leader in the men's fleet is Maarten-Bastiaan Smit NED one point ahead of Jack Marshall USA. Jointly leading in the huge 227 boats youth fleet are Juan Videla ARG and Raffael De La Hoz ESP, 2 points ahead of Arthur Barrué FRA. The best Swiss Nicolas Rolaz SUI is on the 42nd plce. Only one women's group completed a race and therefore, no overall rankings are available for the moment. Caroline Rosma NOR won the only race of her group ahead of Alexandra Dahlber FIN. Lucie Keller SUI was on rank 33.

 Diam 24 - Tour de France - Act 7 - Marseille FRA - Final results, Bernard Stamm SUI Act 7 of the Tour in Marseille ended yesterday with four short races and the Super Final, and for once, a new winner showed up: 'FenêtréeACardinal' of Erwan Le Roux FRA. But nevertheless, the superior overall leader 'Lorima Limonade - Morbihan' extended her lead with a 6th place even more. Bernard Stamm SUI started the day perfectly with the ranks 2 and 4, but a premature start destroyed the qualification for the Super Final. However, Stamm remains 13th overall.

 Surprise - Les 5 jours du Léman - CV Vidy - Day 2 The 28 two-person teams needed roughly 24 hours for the first rounding of Lake Geneva and the clearly leading Nicolas Kauffmann/Nicolas Anklin are about to finish the second round this morning. Various classes - Travemuende Week - Travemuende GER - Day 2, the Swiss

 Various classes - Travemuende Week - Travemuende GER - Day 2, the Swiss On Saturday, the Travemuende Week began, this year at the same time the German Laser Youth Championship. Seven one-design classes and the big-boats were in action up to now.
In the Lasers 4.7, Julian Hoffmann GER and Julia Büssmann GER share the lead at equal points. 68 participants from Germany and Hongkong are on the entry list. Hannah Andersohn GER is the clear leader in the Lasers Radial 15 points ahead of Benno Marstaller GBR, last year's winner. Switzerland is represented in the Dyas with Peter Brandt/Regula Bärlocher (rank 5) and in the Trias with Fattorini/Fattorini/Ulrich SUI (rank 2).

 Diam 24 - Tour de France - Act 7 - Marseille FRA - Day 1, Bernard Stamm SUI The Marseille coastal race yesterday was shortened because of the very light wind. The winner was once more 'Lorima Limonade - Morbihan' (Delapierre/Salomon FRA) with a 17 minutes' advantage on 'Grandeur Nature Veranda' with Jean-Christophe Mourniac FRA moving up on rank 2 overall.  Esse 750 - International Regatta - SC St.Moritz Rainy weather prevailed on Lake St. Moritz over the past weekend, where the second edition of the International Esse 750 Regatta took place. Only on Sunday sailing was possible for the 8 teams from Switzerland, Denmark and the USA completing 4 races. Stefan Schuchter/Mark Huber SCStä were the winners ahead of Urs Oldani/Ralph Windholz/Tom Bättig YCZ. The results (PDF).

 420 - World Championship 2016 - San Remo ITA - Final results - Rank 5 for Zeltner/Seger SUI The 420 World Championship in San Remo ITA was concluded yesterday with 2 or 3 races sailed again in a fresh 20 kn breeze. Nick Zeltner/Till Seger SUI remained 5th in the U-17 rankings (68 teams/18 nations), the Swiss highlight of the event. Maxime Bachelin/Arno De Planta SUI finished on rank 28 in the Men's rankings, Morgan Lauber/Léo Tétaz SUI were 69th among the 108 teams. Aurelia Fischer/Illona Hersperger SUI stayed on rank 62 among the 84 Women's teams.

 420 - World Championship 2016 - San Remo ITA - Day 5 -the Swiss On day 5 of the 420 Worlds, a fresh breeze filled in at San Remo ITA for the first time, and the Swiss felt quite at ease with these conditions. Maxime Bachelin/Arno de Planta moved up 8 ranks after the three races of the day and are now 23rd. One race up also for Nick Zeltner/Till Seger SUI in the U17-rankings on the excellent 5th place. Inspite of three races on the program today, the 39 points' backlog on rank 3 will most probably be too much to reach the podium. Aurelia Fischer/Ilona Hersperger SUI are now 66th in the Girls' fleet.

 Diam 24 - Tour de France - Act 6 - Gruissan FRA - Day 1, Bernard Stamm SUI The Tour-de-France resumed yesterday with the long-distance race of Act 6 in Gruissan FRA. The light and variable winds have shaken up the fleet during the whole race, but at the end of the day, the leader was as mostly in this Tour 'Lorima Limonade - Morbihan' with Quentin Delapierre and Mathieu Salomon FRA. With a 48 points' lead in the overall rankings, they will not give away the final Tour victory. Bernard Stamm SUI finished 7th upholding his ambitions for a top-10 result.

 Yngling - World Championship 2016 - Wolfgangsee AUT - Final Day - the Swiss The Yngling European Championship ended yesterday on Lake Wolfgang with two races sailed in perfect thermal breeze conditions. It was the day of the local team Rudolf Mayr/Anna Boustani/Philippe Boustani AUT who replaced the previous leader Gert Roukema NED and his team on top of the classifications in the last race. The Bronze Medal went to the junior team of Kai Moorman NED. Damian Stritmatter SUI and Thomas Beck SUI advanced on ranks 11 and 12.

 420 - World Championship 2016 - San Remo ITA - Day 4 - the Swiss The 420 Worlds Final Series began yesterday in a 10 kn breeze. Nick Zeltner/Till Seger SUI continued the U17 youth championship with an excellent 4th race rank in the only heat of the day, moving up on rank 6 overall. Their backlog on the podium is 23 points with two days to go. A big jump ahead made Maxime Bachelin/Arno De Planta SUI in the Open fleet moving up 14 ranks on position 31. Morgan Lauber/Léo Tetaz SUI are 77th among the 110 participants in the Silverfleet. The girls however had a black day. The best ranked Aurelia Fischer/Ilona Hersperger SUI dropped on the 59th place after a premature start. Solène Mariani/Maude Schmid SUI abandoned the race and are now 66th.

Optimist - European Championship 2016 - Crotone ITA - Final results - Gold for Germany and Italy, ranks of the Swiss

 Optimist - European Championship 2016 - Crotone ITA - Final results - Gold for Germany and Italy, ranks of the Swiss The Optimist European Championship 2016 was concluded yesterday with two races per fleet.
Gaia Bergonzini ITA climbed on rank 1 of the Girls' Goldfleet on the last day, as Melina Pappa GRE had two medium races only and descended on rank 3. Girl of the day was Antonia Schultheis MLT, winning both heats and grasping the Silver Medal. Anja Von Allmen SUI advanced on rank 10 overall. With a 5th race rank, Marie Van der Klink SUI progressed as well finishing 32nd. Rosine Baudet SUI also sailing in the Goldfleet concluded the Championship as 46th.
A leader change occurred also in the Boys' Goldfleet. Winning the last race, Mewes Wieduwild GER grasped the title on the last moment. As his sister in the Girls, Richard Schultheis MLT was the best of the day and won Silver. Bronze went to Paolo Peracca ITA, who lost the title with two medium ranks in the last heats. Alexander Hubmann SUI, the only Swiss in the Goldfleet, could not improve his position and finished 54th. Jonas Domeisen SUI however, sailing in the Silverfleet, climbed on rank 5 (= 67th overall), Maxim Dneprov SUI and Luca Schäfer SUI followed on the ranks 12 and 13, i.e. also in the first half of the 184 participants.

Diam 24 - Tour de France - Act 5 - Roses ESP - Day 12, Bernard Stamm SUI

After the long-distance race of Wednesday, the short races were on the program in Roses ESP. Six qualifiers and the Super Final were sailed and with 'Trésor de Tahiti' of Pierre Pennec FRA, a new Act winner showed up. But the leader 'Lorima Limonade - Morbihan' extended the overall Tour lead with a 3rd final rank in Roses. Bernard Stamm SUI and his team started well with the ranks 5 and 6, but after a collision, they were forced to skip two races and finished only 18th. Nevertheless, they moved up one rank on 13 in the Tour rankings.

Dragon - European Championship 2016 - St. Petersburg RUS - Day 4, the Swiss

The Dragon Europeans in St-Petersburg RUS continued yesterday with two races sailed again in a fresh breeze. The rankings before the last races today are very close as the leading Anatoly Loginov RUS and his team is only one point ahead of Markus Wieser GER sailing under the UAE flag, and also Stephan Link GER (with Frank Butzmann GER) is close with 3 points behind the leader. Markus Brennecke GER (with Jochen Schümann GER) dropped on rank 4 with a 12 points' backlog. Hugo Stenbeck SUI defended the 8th place.

F16-Catamaran - World Championship 2016 - Knokke BEL - Final results, the Swiss

The F16-catamaran Worlds in Belgium ended yesterday, but the World Champions - the young local team Henri Demesmaeker/Alec Bagué BEL - had their title prematurely before the last heats already, having won 8 of the 12 races. Silver and Bronze went to Le Chapelier/Le Bouedec FRA and Flament/Dorange FRA. Guillaume Rol/Alexis Mégevand SUI finished on the good 9th place among the 38 teams.

Yngling - World Championship 2016 - Wolfgangsee AUT - Day 4, the Swiss

The situation at the Yngling Worlds on Lake Wolfgang AUT is very open before the last races today. Gert Roukema NED and Rudolf Mayr AUT lead at equal points with Kai Doorman NED following as 3rd with a 5 points backlog. The Swiss defended their ranks with Damian Stritmatter SUI as 15th and Thomas Beck SUI as 17th.

 420 - World Championship 2016 - San Remo ITA - Day 3, the Swiss The Qualification Series for the Gold- and Silverfleet were concluded yesterday again in light winds (6 to 8 kn).
The Girls completed 3 races with Francesca Russo/Alice Linussi ITA as new leaders 2 points ahead of Maria Caba/Pilar Caba ESP. Julia Szmit/Hanna Dzik POL dropped on rank 3. The three Swiss teams will continue the Championship in the Silverfleet with Aurelia Fischer/Illona Hersperger SUI as best on rank 53.
A duo is clearly leading in the Open rankings with Tim Vincent/Victor Mas FRA one point ahead of Theo Carayon/Erwan Lucas FRA. The 3rd-ranked Diogo Costa/Pedro Costa POR are already 10 points behind. Maxime Bachelin/Arno de Planta SUI are qualified for the Goldfleet as 47th.
On top of the U17-classification are Telis Athanasopoulos/Dimitrios Tassios GRE, but Violette Dorange/Camille Orion FRA are only one point behind. Nick Zeltner/Till Seger SUI lost some places and are now on the 9th position.

Optimist - European Championship 2016 - Crotone ITA - Day 5, the Swiss

 Optimist - European Championship 2016 - Crotone ITA - Day 5, the Swiss Challenging conditions prevailed during the first Final Series races with a fresh 20-24 kn breeze and big up to 3 meter waves.
New on top of the Goldfleet Boys is now Paolo Peracca ITA. Mewes Wieduwild GER follows 4 points behind on rank 2. Already 14 points back and new on rank 3 is Bruce Jordan USA. Alexander Hubmann SUI, the only Swiss in the Goldfleet, advanced on the 46th place. Simeo Vollmer SUI remained 6th (>= 68th overall) in the Silverfleet.
The Girls sailed two races per fleet. Milena Pappa GRE defended her lead in the Goldfleet 4 points ahead of Gaia Bergonzini ITA on rank 2. Anja Von Allmen SUI folloed on the 15th position. Rosine Baudet SUI and Marie Van der Klink SUI advanced on the ranks 37 and 38.

 F16-Catamaran - World Championship 2016 - Knokke BEL - Day 3, the Swiss After the unplanned lay day on the windless Tuesday, racing resumed intensively with five races sailed in a perfect breeze. The Belgian youth team Henri Demesmaeker/Alec Bagué BEL went on dominating the fleet and extended their lead on 15 points ahead of Emmanuel Le Chapelier/Eric Le Bouedec FRA. Guillaume Rol/Alexis Megevand SUI dropped on rank 12. Andreas Lutz/Beat Käser SUI follow on rank 14.

 Yngling - World Championship 2016 - Wolfgangsee AUT - Day 3, the Swiss The Yngling Worlds on Lake Wolfgang continued yesterday with two races sailed in a light and unconstant thermal breeze on another hot-summer day. Gert Roukema NED and his team defended rank 1, but the local Rudolf Mayr AUT joined the Dutchman on top pointwise. Kai Moorman NED is new on rank 3. The Swiss teams lost some places and the best Damian Stritmatter SUI is now on the 15th position. Thomas Beck SUI follows as 17th.

Optimist - European Championship 2016 - Crotone ITA - Day 3, the Swiss

 Optimist - European Championship 2016 - Crotone ITA - Day 3, the Swiss The Qualification Series at the Optimist Europeans in Southern Italy ended yesterday with one Girls' and two Boys' fleet races sailed in a fresh breeze. From now on, the competition will continue in Gold-, Silver- and Bronzefleets.
The new leader in the Girls is Melina Pappa GRE ahead of Gaia Bergonzini ITA 2nd and Gaia Falco ITA and Alice Moss SWE on the 3rd place at equal points. Anja von Allmen SUI is excellent 9th and hereswith easily qualified for the Goldfleet as are Rosine Baudet SUI (rank 38) and Marie Van der Klink SUI (rank 41).
Richard Schultheis MLT as reclaimed the first position in the Boys with a race win. The day's best (1/3) was Mewes Wleduwild GER who advanced on rank 2. Odysseos Spanakis GRE and Paolo Peracca ITA follow at equal points on rank 3. The only Swiss qualified for the Goldfleet is Alexander Hubmann SUI on rank 55. All other Swiss continue the regatta in the Silverfleet.

 420 - World Championship 2016 - San Remo ITA - Day 2, the Swiss The first races at the 420 Worlds were sailed yesterday afternoon in a light 6 to 8 kn breeze after a start postponement. All three fleets completed 3 races each.
With two race wins in their group, Julia Szmit/Hanna Dzik POL took the overall lead in the Women ahead of Sofia Giondi/Giulia Gatta ITA and Francesca Lusso/Alice Linussi ITA on the ranks 2 and 3. The Swiss however were not at their best with Aurelia Fischer/Illona Hersperger SUI on rank 61 and Solène Mariani/Maude Schmid SUI as 64th.
Leaders in the Men are Theo Carayon/Erwan Lucas FRA ahead of Riccardo Sepe/Filippo Iacchia ITA and Fausto Cruz/Martin Arroyo ARG. The best Swiss on rank 41 are Maxime Bachelin/Arno de Planta SUI. In the U17-classifications, Violette Dorange/Camille Orion FRA are on top followed by Telis Athanasopoulos/Dimitris Tassios GRE and Enzo Balanger/Gaultier Tallieu FRA at equal points on the ranks 2 and 3. With a solid top-10 performance, Nick Zeltner/Till Seger SUI are closely behind on rank 4.

The Dragon European Championship in St-Petersburg RUS contined yesterday with two races sailed in a light wind. Anatoly Loginov RUS and his team climbed on rank 1 thanks to a race win.  Optimist - European Championship 2016 - Crotone ITA - Day 2,  the Swiss The program of the Optimist European Championship in Southern Italy was delayed yesterday because of stormy winds of up to 30 kn, and only late in the afternoon, the velocity was below 20 kn. After 16h, both fleets sailed at least one race.
Vasileios Livas GRE moved on top of the Boys jointly with Richard Schultheis MLT. Thanks to a race win in his group, Jordan Bruce USA advanced on the 3rd place, but Mewes Wleduwild GER is only one point behind. The Swiss lost some places and the best Maxim Dneprov SUI is now 48th, still on a Goldfleet rank (top 62). The best Swiss of the day was Jonas Domeisen SUI with a 13th rank, advancing on the 57th position overall. Provided he has some good finishes in the two last qualification heats today, Simeon Vollmer SUI as 67th might also join the Goldfleet.
Alice Moss SWE defended her lead in the Girls 2 points ahead of Gaia Bergonzini ITA. New on rank 3 is Anna Pagnini ITA. Anja Von Allmen SUI finished 2nd and advanced on rank 11 overall. Marie Van der Klink SUI - yesterday 8th - on rank 34 is also opting for a Goldfleet place. Rosine Baudet SUI, on rank 52 among the 105 participants, is also in the first half of the fleet.

The record 262 teams in total on the entry list are split in three categories: Open (men and mixed), women and U17. Three races are on the program today, but the wind forecast does not look very favorably during the whole week. Switzerland is represented in all three fleets with 5 boats in total.

Winners of the day were Markus Wieser GER/Sergey Pugachev RUS/Diego Negri ITA. Jens Christensen DEN and Anatoly Loginov RUS with their teams followed on the ranks 2 and 3.  F16-Catamaran - World Championship 2016 - Knokke BEL - Day 1, the Swiss The F-16 catamaran World Championship began yesterday with finally three races completed after a start postponement due to too light winds. Finishing 2/3/1, Henri Demesmaeker/Alec Bagué BEL have taken the interim's lead one point ahead of Le Chapelier/Bouedec FRA. Good/Wirtz BEL are on rank 3.  Diam 24 - Tour de France - Summary after the Atlantic races, Bernard Stamm SUI Yesterday, the 24 Tour de France teams dislocated by road transport from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean. Tomorrow, Act 5 will begin in Roses ESP with a 46 miles' coastal race. The first half of the competition has been dominated by 'Lorima Limonade - Morbihan' with Quentin Delapierre/Matthieu Salomon FRA. Only 'Crédit Mutuel - Bretagne' with Nicolas Troussel FRA and the matchracers Mathieu Richard FRA and Damien Iehl FRA with a 26 points' backlog sailed more or less on the level of the leaders.

Jean-Marc Monnard SUI dominated the Moderns fleet again and leads now overall after 6 races with a 10 point's advantage on Russ Silvestri USA. A leader change occurred in the Classics with Poul Hoj-Jensen GBR replacing Eric Jespersen CAN by a small margin. The Championship will end by this evening.

 Optimist - European Championship 2016 - Crotone ITA - Day 1, the Swiss The Optimist European Championship began yesterday in Southern Italy with summery temperatures and a fresh seabreeze. Three races were sailed in both gender fleets.
Alice Moss SWE has taken the interim's lead in the Girls 2 points ahead of Gaia Bergonzini ITA. Gaia Falco ITA is on the 3rd place. Anja Von Allmen SUI had a good first day and is on rank 15. Rosine Baudet SUI as 59th has still the chance to qualify for the Goldfleet, i.e. the best 53 in the 105 participants' fleet.
Richard Schultheis MLT leads in the Boys' fleet one point ahead of Vasileios Livas GRE. Mic Mohr GER folgt auf Rang 3. The 181 participants sail in three fleets. The best of the Swiss Team is Maxim Dneprov SUI on the 40th place. Chances to qualify for the Goldfleet (top 61) have also Alexander Hubmann SUI and Simeo Vollmer SUI on the ranks 64 and 65, as well as Jonas Domeisen SUI as 71st.

 Optimist - North American Championship 2016 - Antigua ANT - Final results, the Swiss The Optimist North-American Championship in Antigua was concluded yesterday with three Final Races in the Gold-, Silver- and Bronzefleets. Hernan Umpierre URU verteidigte defended his lead winning with a 4 points' advantage on Stephan Baker USA. Benjamin Fuenzalida CHI moved up on rank 3 on the last day. The best girl Mia Nicolosi ISV finished 4th. Natascha Rast SUI, the only only Swiss in the Goldfleet, terminated the Championship on rank 41, as 11th-best girl. Sailing in the Silverfleet, Dimitri Niederhäuser SUI was on rank 13 (= 61st overall), Philippe Roth SUI followed as 29th (= 77th overall).

 Diam 24 - Tour de France - Act 4 - Baden FRA - Final results, Bernard Stamm SUI Yesterday, concluding the Atlantic part of the Tour de France, three short races with the Super Final were on the program in Baden at the Morbihan Gulf. Light winds and a strong tide current made racing difficult.
Nevertheless, 'Lorima Limonade - Morbihan' with Quentin Delapierre/Marc Salomon FRA added another victory, extending the overall lead on 26 points, as the immediate challengers 'Crédit Mutuel - Bretagne' with Nicolas Troussel FRA missed the qualification for the Super Finale. Bernard Stamm SUI and his team did not qualify for the Final either, but as 15th, they remained on rank 14 overall.

 Finn, Fireball, Musto-Skiff - Segel-Woche - Thunersee YC After the three good thermal breeze races on Lake Thoune last Saturday, a light wind in the opposite direction allowed to complete two more heats yesterday.

Augie Diaz USA/Bruno Prada BRA defended the 2nd place by one point on Hubert Merkelbach/Markus Koy GER, winners of the last race.  Diam 24 - Tour de France - Act 4 - Baden FRA - Day 1, Bernard Stamm SUI Act 4 of the Tour-de-France began yesterday in the Breton Baden at the Morbihan Gulf with the coastal race started in a very light wind prompting the Race Director to shorten it on 9 miles only. Coming strongly from behind, 'Lorima Limonade - Morbihan' (Quentin Delapierre/Hervé Salomon FRA) succeeded to pass the leading 'Grandeur Nature Veranda' (Jean-Christophe Mourniac FRA) on the last 300 meters, extending their overall lead.
