AC-50-Catamarans - Test Races - Hamilton BER

AC-50-Catamarans - Test Races - Hamilton BER Five of the six America’s Cup teams in Bermuda - 'Team New Zealand just arrived from Auckland NZL and did not yet race - held the second series of test races in their America’s Cup Class race boats – 17 races in all. But next week, Peter Burling NZL and his team will sail the next series of test races. Will the 'cycling grinders' of the Kiwis make the big difference, that is the big question ?
In windy conditions 'Artemis', the team with the seven Olympic Gold Medalists Nathan Outteridge AUS, Freddy Lööf SWE, Ian Percy GBR, Paul Goodison GBR, dominated the second test race period, winning all nine races, including four against 'Oracle'. 'Oracle' beat everyone else, including three wins against stablemates 'SoftBank Team Japan'. 'Team Japan' lost five races but beat 'Land Rover BAR' and 'Groupama Team France' once each. 'BAR' raced each team once, beating only the French. France raced each team once, losing to everyone. While 'BAR' seems to have speed problems, it is the boats' handling in manoeuvres making 'Groupama' loose the duels.
The news with results.
