AC-45 - America's Cup World Series 2012 - Newport RI, USA - first races today

Numerous spectators attended the first trainings races of the final America's Cup World Series in Newport R.I. yesterday. As from today, the competition begins with the first match- and fleetraces. The matchace will be crucial for Dean Barker NZL and his 'Emirates Team New Zealand' who must win today's matchrace to stay in the hunt for the overall classification. The Kiwis are four points behind 'Oracle-Racing' with James Spithill AUS. The second AC-45 of the Cup Defender will be steered by Russell Coutts NZL this time. The report and the video-preview.
