With 22 boats, the Swiss delegation at the Semaine Olympique of Hyères is very large, but the majority are either veterans (Star, Finn) or developement teams (Laser, Laser Radial, 470). After the disappointing results of the Palma Word Cup event, the Olympic campaigners get another chance to shine. Nathalie Brugger SUI prepared the event carefully with trainings on the waters of Hyères during a few days. The windsurfer Richard Stauffacher SUI, not much active since the Olympics 2008, relaunches an Olympic campaign. Confident are the young Yannick Brauchli/Romuald Hausser SUI after the progress made this year and their ambitious objective is a ranking in the top-20. Flavio Marazzi/Enrico De Maria SUI have also good chances to finish in a top position as the rather light winds announced will play in their cards. Matias Bühler SUI, surprising winner at the SOF 2009, has good memories, and wants to repeat this performance with his new crew Simon Brügger SUI. The official website.
