 Class 40 - Transat Niji40 - Belle-Ile-de-Mer FRA - Day 12 The fleet sailing in the north with north-westerly winds reached fresh winds again yesterday, with 800 miles to finish. These are likely to be much tougher to cross, as there is now the threat of a big lull until the finish. The two runaways in the south sail at good speeds in the trade winds, carrying them to the finish. Their gap yesterday remained stable at 1,000 miles. Grey weather and cool temperatures characterized the first day of the 5.5m Alpine Cup on Lake Garda. Three races were sailed in a moderate southerly wind. Peter Morton GBR and his team took the lead with 1/1/3. Bent Wilhelmsen NOR follows in 2nd place, 4 points behind, while Mark Holowesko BAH (with Christoph Burger SUI) is in 4th place thanks to a race win in the last race. Kite Boarding - Big Air World Cup - Barcarès FRA - Final results

The first Big Air World Cup of the year was held on the French Mediterranean coast. Kiteboarding's most spectacular discipline benefited from fresh winds, with the Tramontana blowing at around 30 knots on the final day. The Dutch provided the surprises: In the women's event, Pippa Van Iersel NED made an impressive comeback with a victory after a 2-year injury break.  Class 40 - Transat Niji40 - Marie Galante FRA - Day 11 After the fast ride through the North Atlantic, the fleet must cross the flat transition zone to the trade winds. The spring regatta on Lake Lugano came to an end yesterday with two more races. Andrea Vitali CVLL, freshly qualified for the European Championships, won the Optimist clearly ahead of Giorgio Bolgiani CVLL. Andrea Avitabile CVLL won the ILCA 4, while Linus Coupek CVLL took the lead in the ILCA 6 with two race wins. All other rankings.

ILCA 4 - Youth European Championship 2024 - Izola SLO - Final results

 ILCA 4 - Youth European Championship 2024 - Izola SLO - Final results The last races of the Junior European Championship were sailed yesterday in Portoroz at around 10 knots. The boys finished two races, the girls sailed three, with Gabriela Morrell ESP taking the title in the end, or rather the two titles: she also won the U16 classification. Maria-Christina Melaniti GRE and Maria Magdalena Villalonga ESP follow in 2nd and 3rd place. Léanne Turrin SUI was one of the best of the day and moved up to 8th place, taking the silver medal in the U16 classification - the ranking list Girls. Lorenzo Ghirotti ITA came out on top in the boys' category, with Vassilis Koukoudis GRE and Alberto Avanzini ITA completing the podium. Nathan Wehrle FRA took the U16 title in 5th place.  ILCA 4 - Youth European Championship 2024 - Izola SLO - Day 5 The ILCA 4 Junior European Championship continued yesterday with two races each in around 15 knots of wind. ----- Before today's final day, Sara Lacko HUN leads 11 points ahead of Gabriela Morell ESP. Another 11 points behind is Maria-Christina Melaniti GRE in 3rd place. Leanne Turrin SUI is 16th and 2nd in the U16 classification - the ranking Girls. ----- Lorenzo Ghirotti ITA leads the boys' classification with a 9-point lead over Georgios Kypraios GRE. Yesterday, the two outliers in the south lost further distance - the gap is now 230 miles. ILCA 4 - Youth European Championship 2024 - Izola SLO - Day 4

 ILCA 4 - Youth European Championship 2024 - Izola SLO - Day 4 Finally some wind! After 3 days of flat conditions, the wind freshened up to 22 knots yesterday, and all fleets were able to finish three races each. The two boys' groups without races on Tuesday caught up in the program. The changed conditions brought numerous changes in the classifications: ----- In the ILCA 4 Girls, Feline Van Ede NED took the lead with the day's 1st/1st/2nd places, ahead of Sara Lacko HUN in 2nd rank on equal points. Gabriela Morell ESP moved up to 3rd place. Leanne Turrin SUI also made a huge leap forward. Thanks to a 3rd place in her fleet, she is now 14th overall and 2nd in the U16 classification! - the Girls ranking list. ----- Juan Bennassar ESP has taken the lead in the men's ILCA 4, followed one point behind by Lorenzo Ghirotti ITA. Archie Munro GBR is close behind in 3rd place. Ulysse Raison SUI dropped back to 38th place, but Niklas Ambos SUI in 55th place and Lars Keller SUI in 79th place were able to move up into the Goldfleet - the ranking Boys. ----- The daily report and the Facebook page.
