'Only' 15-18 kn wind on the first day of the final races in the Gold- and Silverfleets. Some changes on top happened after the 2-4 races by class, e.g. in the 49ers, where the World Champions Outteridge/Jensen AUS took the lead with the day ranks 6/1/4/1, ahead of Pink/Peacock GBR and Christidis/Hansen FRA. In the 470 men, Leboucher/Garros FRA reclaimed the first place, 13 points ahead of Dahlberg/Östling SWE and Belcher/Page AUS jointly on rank 2. In the 470 women, Jo Aleh/Olivia Powrie NZL, the winners of both races yesterday, are now on top, followed by Mills/Clark GBR and Cohen/Bouskila ISR. Lecointre/Geron FRA climbed on rank 4. No problems for Ben Ainslie GBR in the Finns, who has now a 7 points advantage on Giles Scott GBR. Ivan Kljakovic Gaspic CRO is 3rd. Scheidt/Prada BRA and Lööf/Salminen SWE are tied on top of the Starboats, and Kusznierwicz/Zycki POL remain 3rd. With the RS:X-men, JP Tobin NZL stays ahead in front of Dorian Van Rijsselberge NED and Nick Dempsey GBR with the same number of points. Marina Alabau ESP is back on top of the RS:X-women, followed by Lee Korzits ISR and Zofia Klepacka POL. In the women matchrace, Claire Leroy FRA and Silja Lehtinen FIN qualified for the quarter-finals with the ranks 1 and 2 in the Repechage. In the Gold Round, Sally Barkow USA was the only one winning all five matches. See separate news below for the Lasers.
