The leading trio with 'Puma' (Ken Read USA), 'Telefonica' (Iker Martinez ESP) and - with a 146 miles' backlog - 'Camper' (Chris Nicholson NZL) has been progressing direction South Atlantic at speeds exceeding 20 kn for over 48 hours now. The next obstacle to overcome are the Equator with its innertropical convergence zone, the doldrums, that will bring the fleet closer together again. At present, 'Puma' is 8,6 miles ahead of 'Telefonica'. 'Groupama' (Franck Cammas FRA) however is already 300 miles behind and about to leave the African coast. Over 4000 miles are still to go to Capetown and some more barriers are ahead. The race-viewer, the report of the day and the videos.
