Yesterday afternoon, the seabreeze filled in lighter as forecast with about 10 kn. According to the program, each class sailed two (49ers three) races. Inspite of some worse results (4/8), Leboucher/Garros FRA (see the video-interview taken during the jogging !) kept their first place in the 470 men, two points ahead of Marinho/Nunes POR and the day's best Kampouridis/Papadopulos GRE on rank 3. Position changes also in the 470 women, but Ainsworth/Weguelin GBR remained on top. New on rank 2 are the surprising Skrzypulec/Ogar POL just in front of Rol/Defrance FRA. Evans/Powys GBR are the new leaders in the 49ers after the races 4 to 6, together with the tied Warrer/Hansen DEN. Eight points behind follow Ekberg/Torlén SWE and Schadewaldt/Baumann GER on the ranks 3 and 4, also with the same number of points. Ben Ainslie GBR ruled the show in the Finns with the day ranks 1 and 2 (see the Finn class report). Daniel Birgmark SWE and Jonas Hoegh-Christensen DEN follow at some distance on 2 and 3. Pepper/Turner NZL defended their first position despite of mediocre race ranks. Echevarri/Rivero ESP follow on rank 2, the Olympic champions Percy/Simpson GBR are now 3rd on their way up. Both Women Matchrace groups terminated their Round Robin. Anna Tunnicliffe USA is on top of Group A ahead of Sally Barkow USA (both 6-2).
